Coopers Brewery announces ‘master of the Brewniverse’ winner.
After nine months and a multitude of creative entries, the world’s number one home brew brand, Coopers DIY Beer has selected DIY Brewer, Chris Woods as the inaugural Master of the Brewniverse with his Fruit of the Woods IPA.
The juicy American IPA is an ode to Wood’s family with a dad and grandad both having been avid DIY brewers. The beer bursts with tropical and citrus fruit from the generous use of new world hops, leaving a fruit forward punch.
“I love all things beer, looking at it, smelling, tasting and talking about it to anyone who’ll listen, and of course the art of brewing it,” says Woods.
In reward for brewing the top drop, Woods’ winning recipe was brewed and canned at Coopers Brewery and will hit the shelves of Dan Murphy’s nationally from mid-May.
“While there were many seriously good beers at the nationals, Wood’s was a standout. It’s a great representation of an IPA using five hop varieties, oats and honey, and most importantly it is very drinkable,” said Dave Medlyn, Technical Brewer, Coopers Brewery
