Got a question about Coopers Pacific Pale Ale? Hopefully we’ve answered it here:

What is a Pacific Pale Ale?

“A Pacific Pale Ale is a modern, hop-driven take on pale ale, brewed to be crisp, light and packed with tropical fruit character,” says Dave Medlyn, technical brewer at Coopers Brewery.

“Coopers Pacific Pale Ale was our first dry-hopped release, originally launched as Session Ale in 2017. Using Galaxy, Vic Secret and Melba hops, it delivers passionfruit and citrus notes that feel instantly summery. Unlike Original Pale Ale, which is yeast-driven with fruity esters unique to Coopers, Pacific is all about the hops – vibrant, tropical and distinctly refreshing,” says Dave.

What is the typical alcohol content of Pacific Pale Ale?

Coopers Pacific Pale Ale is 4.2% ABV – a moderate, sessionable strength that makes it perfect for long afternoons in the sun.

Is Pacific Pale Ale suitable for vegans?

Yes. Like all Coopers ales, Coopers Pacific Pale Ale is brewed with just malt, hops, water and our own ale yeast – no preservatives, no additives and nothing animal-derived – making it vegan-friendly.

How should I serve Coopers Pacific Pale Ale for the best experience?

“I love to serve Coopers Pacific Pale Ale icy cold in a clean glass to bring out its tropical hop aromas and natural carbonation,” says Dave Medlyn, technical brewer at Coopers Brewery. “With its light body and bright flavours, it’s the perfect summer beer – refreshing, crisp and best enjoyed outdoors.”

What foods pair well with Coopers Pacific Pale Ale?

“As our brew team says: ‘Pacific Pale Ale really says summer to you,’” says Dave Medlyn, technical brewer at Coopers Brewery.

“With its passionfruit and citrus hop profile, it pairs beautifully with fresh, summery dishes – think grilled seafood, fish tacos, citrus-dressed salads or spicy Asian plates. Its moderate bitterness also makes it a great match for pub classics like fish and chips or a wood-fired pizza,” says Dave.
