Coopers Coober Pedy Classic promotion terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are available to travel to Coober Pedy, South Australia, to play in the Coopers Coober Pedy Classic Golf Tournament between 15/05/26 and 17/05/26 (“Tournament”). As a condition of accepting the prize, entrants consent to the Promoter conducting a police check and undertaking other background searches as the Promoter deems relevant. Entrants shall provide reasonable assistance to the Promoter on written request for these checks to be undertaken.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Participating Venues (defined below) and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or cousin.
4. Entries into the promotion open on 02/03/26 and close at 11:59pm AEST on 26/04/26 (“Promotional Period”).
5. A participating venue is any off-premise store or on-premise venue located in Australia that stocks the Eligible Products (defined below) (each a “Participating Off Premise Store” or “Participating On Premise Venue”). Where appropriate, Participating Off-Premise Stores and Participating On-Premise Venues will be collectively referred to as “Venue/s”.
6. To enter and receive one (1) entry into the draw, eligible entrants must, during the Promotional Period:
a) Purchase any Coopers Mild Ale 3.5% product (each an “Eligible product”) from any Participating Off Premise Store OR Participating On Premise Venue (“Qualifying Transaction”). In the event that a purchase receipt is not provided to an entrant for their Qualifying Transaction, it is the entrant’s responsibility to request such materials; and then
b) Visit coopers.com.au/pages/coopers-coober-pedy-classic or scan the QR code on the promotional material located at either the Participating Off Premise Store or Participating On Premise Venue, follow the prompts to the promotion entry page, input the requested details (including but not limited to their first name, last name, valid email address, postal address, phone number and date of birth), upload a photo of their purchase receipt and submit the fully completed entry form.
7. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry into the draw permitted per Qualifying Transaction (regardless of the number of Eligible Products purchased in that Qualifying Transaction in excess of one (1)); (b) a maximum of two (2) entries permitted into the draw per person per day for Qualifying Transactions made at a Participating On Premise Venue; and (c) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
8. Entrants must retain their original purchase receipt(s) for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all entries when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of an entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the product purchased, venue or store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the Promotional Period but prior to entry.
9. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
10. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
11. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
Draw
12. The Promoter will conduct one (1) draw from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period. The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Level 3/162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on 28/04/26 at 11:00am AEST, in the presence of an independent scrutineer. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. The draw winners will be notified by email and telephone within seven (7) days of the draw, and their details will be published (first initial, surname and postcode) online at coopers.com.au/pages/coopers-coober-pedy-classic on 01/05/26.
13. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The first five (5) valid entries drawn will each win the prize of the opportunity to participate in the Tournament (“Draw Prize”). Each Draw Prize is valued at up to $4,020.00 (depending on point of departure).
Each Draw Prize consists of:
• Two (2) x return economy airfares from the Draw Prize winner's nearest capital city to Adelaide, SA (only provided if the Draw Prize winner resides outside of SA). If the Draw Prize winner is from SA, then the Draw Prize does not include airfares, and the airfare component of the Draw Prize is not redeemable for cash;
• Two (2) x return charter airfares (taken with the other Draw Prize winners and their companions) from Adelaide Airport, SA to Coober Pedy, SA. Winners must travel from Adelaide Airport to Coober Pedy, SA via the charter airfares provided and must not travel via their own transport;
• Return private transfers from the relevant airport in Coober Pedy, SA to the accommodation for two (2) adults;
• Two (2) x nights twin share accommodation at The Desert Cave Hotel in Coober Pedy, SA (breakfast included);
• One (1) x welcome dinner on the first night;
• All golf equipment provided for the Draw Prize winner and their companion. Draw Prize winners and their companions cannot take their own golf equipment due to weight restrictions on the charter plane;
• One (1) x pass for the Draw Prize winner and their companion to participate in the Tournament taking place between 15/05/26 and 17/05/26 (lunch provided on the day of the Tournament); and
• $100 spending money (Draw Prize winner only) awarded in the form of an electronic funds transfer (“EFT”) to the winner’s nominated Australian bank account in the Draw Prize winner’s name. Draw Prize winner is responsible for providing full and accurate bank details. The Promoter will not be responsible for incorrect details being provided, a banking institution rejecting an EFT payment, or any costs associated with locating any lost monies.
15. The Draw Prize must be taken to coincide with the Tournament, taking place between 15/05/26 and 17/05/26. All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner. All bookings and documentation regarding the Draw Prize must be made via Sunday Gravy Pty Ltd or their agents. Redeeming the Draw Prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by Sunday Gravy Pty Ltd and the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices. The Draw Prize winners are responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once the booking is confirmed and ticketed. Draw Prize winners are responsible for any additional taxes and/or resort fees associated with the chosen accommodation, unless otherwise stated. Additional spending money, additional meals, additional transfers (other than those included), taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to items of a personal nature, in-room charges, insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the Draw Prize description above are the responsibility of the Draw Prize winners and their traveling companion as incurred. It is the Draw Prize winners’ responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. The Draw Prize winners and their travel companions must have valid travel insurance for their period of travel. The Draw Prize winners and their travel companions must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. The Draw Prize winners may be required to provide their credit card at the time of accommodation check in. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter and Sunday Gravy Pty Ltd in their absolute discretion. Frequent Flyer points do not form part of the Draw Prize. Draw Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the individual prize and service providers. For clarity, all travel companions must be aged 18 years or over.
16. Total prize pool value for the Draw Prize component is up to AU$20,100.00.
Tournament
17. The Tournament will take place at the Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club on 16/05/26. During the Tournament, the Draw Prize winners and their companions must play in accordance with Golf Australia Rules available at https://www.golf.org.au/rulesofgolf/. All Draw Prize winners should refer to the guidance provided at the Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club prior to playing the Tournament.
18. At the completion of the Tournament, the top Draw Prize winner who receives the lowest total score in the Tournament and is deemed the overall winner of the Tournament will win one (1) trip for two (2) adults to Edinburgh, Scotland, valued at up to $20,040.00 (depending on date and point of departure) (“Tournament Prize”).
Tournament Prize consists of:
• Two (2) x return economy airfares from the Tournament Prize winner's nearest Australian capital city to Edinburgh Airport, Scotland (including all airline and airport taxes);
• Return private transfers from Edinburgh airport in Scotland to the accommodation for two (2) adults;
• Four (4) x nights twin room (or similar) accommodation at Cairn Lodge (or similar) in Perthshire, Scotland (includes breakfast);
• Return private transfers from accommodation to Gleneagles Golf Course for two (2) adults;
• One (1) x 18-hole game for two (2) people at the Kings Course located at Gleneagles Golf Course, including:
o One (1) x day golf equipment hire; Powakaddy, clubs, shoes and cart; and
o One (1) x day exclusive Caddie Hire.
• Return private transfers from accommodation to St Andrews for two (2) adults; and
• One (1) x St Andrews Tour, which includes a town, golf and Old Course History tour for two (2) adults;
• One (1) x Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership for 12 months valued at $100. For the avoidance of doubt, once the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership has expired, it will not automatically renew, and the winner will be required to renew the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership to continue being a member at the Cooper Pedy Golf Course if they seek to remain a member; and
• $1,000 spending money (Tournament Prize winner only) awarded in the form of an electronic funds transfer (“EFT”) to the winner’s nominated Australian bank account in the Tournament Prize winner’s name. Tournament Prize winner is responsible for providing full and accurate bank details. The Promoter will not be responsible for incorrect details being provided, a banking institution rejecting an EFT payment, or any costs associated with locating any lost monies.
19. If the Tournament Prize winner and their companion choose to bring their own golf equipment to Edinburgh, Scotland, any oversized baggage costs will be at the responsibility of the Tournament Prize winner and their companion.
20. The Tournament Prize must be taken by 31/05/27, and the Tournament Prize cannot be taken during Australian school holidays, public holidays or other peak periods as advised to the Tournament Prize winner from time to time. All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner. All bookings must be made a minimum of 90 days in advance of the requested departure dates. All bookings and documentation regarding the Tournament Prize must be made via Free-2-Travel Holidays Pty Ltd or their agents. Redeeming the Tournament Prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by Free-2-Travel Holidays Pty Ltd and the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices. The Tournament Prize winner and their travel companion must be in possession of a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity on it prior to departure. The Tournament Prize winner is responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once the booking is confirmed and ticketed. The Tournament Prize winner is responsible for any additional taxes and/or resort fees associated with the chosen accommodation, unless otherwise stated. Visas, valid passports, vaccinations, additional spending money, meals, additional transfers (other than those included), taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to items of a personal nature, in-room charges, insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the Tournament Prize description above are the responsibility of the Tournament Prize winner and his/her traveling companion as incurred. It is the Tournament Prize winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. The Tournament Prize winner and their travel companion must have valid travel insurance for their period of travel and this will not be provided by the Promoter. The Tournament Prize winner and their travel companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. The Tournament Prize winner may be required to provide their credit card at the time of accommodation check in. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter and Free-2-Travel in their absolute discretion. Frequent Flyer points do not form part of the prize. 21. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership are not included in the prize. Any unused balance of the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the Cooper Pedy Golf Course Membership.
General
22. The Gleneagles Golf Course game and participation in the Tournament is subject to the event venue’s terms and conditions, including any applicable age restrictions. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject any winner (and/or his/her companion/s) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Draw Prize and Tournament Prize.
23. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.
24. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
25. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
26. Draw Prize must be claimed by 10:59am AEST on 07/05/26. A draw for the Draw Prize, if unclaimed, may take place on 07/05/26 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winners, if any, will be notified by email and phone within seven (7) days of the draw, and their details will be published (first initial, surname and postcode) online coopers.com.au/pages/coopers-coober-pedy-classic from 10/05/26.
27. The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health & Medical Research Council Australian Alcohol Guidelines that are available at www.nhmrc.gov.au. Entry and continued participation in this promotion is subject to the licensee’s liquor serving policy. A Participating Venue will not offer this promotion as an inducement directed at encouraging patrons to consume alcohol in line with relevant state liquor authorities.
28. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, government lockdown, pandemic or any other kind of disaster or unforeseeable event beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or suspend, substitute or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
29. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner in perpetuity (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) , and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
30. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
31. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
32. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
33. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, participation in the Draw Prize or Tournament Prize is at the winners’ own risk and the Promoter (to the extent permitted by law) is not liable for any injuries, loss or damage that may result from participating in the Draw Prize or Tournament Prize.
34. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if the Tournament is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (g) taking of the prize.
35. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://coopers.com.au/privacy. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose PI outside of Australia, see the Privacy Policy for details.
